Markus Lutsokert is Gen-Z, a four-time jet ski world champion and the founder of Monemon. He started it because managing money had become way too complicated. Every bank wanted him to plan a monthly budget, sort his spending into categories and stare at big tables.

His idea was simpler: one daily budget. Stay under it, and you're doing fine. Coffee, gym or concert tickets, it doesn't matter. Everyone lives differently, and your budget shouldn't care.

Racing taught him that results come from showing up every day, not from one big push. And as an Estonian, from the country that helped bring us Skype and Wise, he did what Estonians do: if what you want doesn't exist, build it yourself.

So he brought together finance industry experts who know how to run regulated money properly. You don't get an e-money licence without the experience, technology and compliance to back it up. Work on Monemon started in 2020, and Monemon AS, the licensed company behind the app, followed in 2022.

The idea hasn't changed since. Saving shouldn't feel like a mountain. Before you jump into investing or crypto, build a cushion, so small setbacks don't knock you over.
